The First Hour and The Last Hour: How You Begin and End Your Day Matters
Godd3ss Aisha
True Story...
(Alarm playing Lizzy Jeff 🎶)
"Look me in my eyes when you speak to me, then I better feel your frequency."
My first thought?
"I'm not feeling this." 🙄
I grabbed my phone and headed to the bathroom.
There I sat, barely awake, already scrolling through Facebook.
One video.
One headline.
One comment section.
Then came the thoughts...
"I can't believe that happened."
"What is wrong with the world?!"
Of course, I had to tell my husband what I saw.
Then I got to work and told some coworkers.
Then came the conversations, debates, and discussions.
By the end of the day?
I was drained.
My energy was heavy.
I just wanted to go home.
About an hour before bed, I decided to check Facebook again.
And guess what?
More madness.
More opinions.
More chaos.
There I was talking back to videos, rolling my eyes, thinking...
"Couldn't be me." 😂
I put my phone down and tried to sleep.
Keyword...
Tried.
I tossed.
I turned.
And before I knew it...
🎶 "Look me in my eyes when you speak to me, then I better feel your frequency." 🎶
The alarm was going off again. 🤦🏾♀️
Then I came across a reel from a monk who said something that made me stop and think:
What you do with the first hour and the last hour of your day is important.
He suggested that when you wake up, don't immediately grab your phone.
Take a few minutes.
Give gratitude.
Take some deep breaths.
Be present.
Let your mind wake up before you invite the world in.
Then an hour before bed?
Put the phone down.
Charge it.
Disconnect from the noise.
🤔🤔🤔
So you already know...
I had to put it to the test.
The next morning, my alarm went off, and let me tell you...
The urge to grab my phone was CRAZY. 😂
But I said:
"Nope. Let's do this."
I closed my eyes.
I gave thanks for another day. 😌
I did some breath work.
I looked in the mirror and spoke positive affirmations over myself.
Then I showered and started my day.
The difference?
Amazing.
I felt like I was on a natural high.
I didn't even think about checking my phone until lunch.
By then, I had already accomplished more than expected, and most importantly...
I felt good.
Later that evening, I scrolled for a little while and continued with my night.
Then bedtime came.
That habit kicked in.
"Let me check this one post real quick..."
Then I stopped myself.
Nah.
I put the phone down.
I lay there.
Closed my eyes.
Gave thanks for another day.
Instead of filling my mind with stress, drama, and everyone else's problems, I started thinking about positive affirmations.
How could I grow?
How could I improve my skills?
How could I become a better version of myself?
And before I knew it...
😴😴😴
Peace.
I tried this for a week, and I was amazed at how much the beginning and ending of my day affected everything in between.
My mood.
My patience.
My focus.
My sleep.
My energy.
We often say social media is just entertainment...
But is it always?
Other people's problems.
Arguments.
Politics.
Celebrity drama.
Negativity.
Opinions.
We consume it and sometimes don't realize we're carrying it into our own lives.
Into our homes.
Into our relationships.
Into our minds.
Sometimes consciously.
Sometimes subconsciously.
So here's my challenge for you:
The 7-Day First Hour & Last Hour Challenge.
When you rise, leave the phone alone.
Your emails will still be there.
The notifications can wait.
The likes aren't going anywhere.
Instead:
💚 Give gratitude
💚 Take deep breaths
💚 Stretch your body
💚 Speak positivity over yourself
💚 Set your energy before the world tries to set it for you
Then do the same before bed.
Disconnect from the outside world.
Reconnect with yourself.
After seven days, check in.
Did you sleep better?
Were you less irritated?
Did you feel more focused?
Did your energy change?
Or did it make no difference?
I'd love to hear your experience.
Share your thoughts, and if this message connected with you, share it with someone you love and care about. Someone else may need the reminder to protect their peace, too.

After the Celebration: Resetting the Mind, Body & Soul Before the Week Begins
Godd3ss Aisha
The fireworks have faded.
The music has stopped.
The gatherings are over.
The memories have been made.
For many of us, the Independence Day celebration was filled with laughter, friends, family, food, and fun. Maybe a little too much fun. 😂
Extra sweets.
Processed foods.
Heavy meals.
Alcohol.
Less sleep.
More stress on the body than we’re used to.
Our bodies, minds, and spirits have been running on celebration mode—but now comes the most important part:
The reset.
Before we jump back into emails, meetings, deadlines, responsibilities, and the demands of the work week, we owe ourselves a moment to get centered.
Because how we show up for ourselves impacts how we show up for the world.
🌿 Start With Gratitude
Before thinking about everything you have to do tomorrow, take a moment to appreciate everything you experienced.
The conversations.
The laughter.
The moments with loved ones.
The simple gift of being here.
Gratitude changes our perspective. Instead of waking up thinking, “I have to go to work,” try shifting the energy:
“I get another opportunity to make an impact.”
A small change in mindset can create a powerful change in the day.
💧 Cleanse Your Body
After days of heavy food, sugar, or drinks, your body may be asking for balance.
Drink water.
Eat nourishing foods.
Enjoy fruits, vegetables, and meals that fuel you.
Move your body.
Stretch.
Take that walk.
Give the body the same kindness you give everyone else.
Our bodies carry us through every experience—we should honor them.
🧘🏾♀️ Quiet the Noise
The world is loud.
Phones.
Social media.
Opinions.
News.
Notifications.
Sometimes peace requires disconnecting from everything else so we can reconnect with ourselves.
Try:
Meditation.
Prayer.
Deep breathing.
Journaling.
Listening to calming music.
Sitting outside and allowing Mother Nature to remind us that everything has a rhythm.
The waves.
The wind.
The trees.
The birds.
And yes…you. 💚
🌱 Release What Doesn’t Serve You
Before beginning a new week, ask yourself:
“What am I carrying that I no longer need?”
Stress?
Fear?
Comparison?
Anger?
Doubt?
Someone else’s expectations?
You don’t have to carry yesterday’s weight into tomorrow’s journey.
Every new day is an opportunity to realign.
💼 Bring my Best Self to Work
Work isn’t just about tasks, projects, or a paycheck.
It’s also about energy.
The version of yourself you bring into the workplace affects everyone around you.
Your coworkers.
Your customers.
Your team.
Your leadership.
Your kindness may ease someone’s difficult day.
Your patience may change someone’s perspective.
Your positive energy may create a ripple effect you never even see.
When you care for yourself first, you have more to give others.
✨ Energy Impacts the Universe
Everything is connected.
The words we speak.
The thoughts we entertain.
The energy we carry.
When we choose peace, kindness, patience, and compassion, we put more of those things into the world.
A healthier you creates healthier relationships.
Healthier relationships create stronger communities.
Stronger communities create a better world.
So before the new week begins…
Take a breath.
Drink some water.
Take a walk.
Feed your body.
Quiet your mind.
Check in with your soul.
Ask yourself:
“How do I want to show up in the world tomorrow?”
Because the greatest reset isn’t just about returning to work.
It’s about returning to yourself.
If this message touched your heart, share it with someone you love and care about. Sometimes we all need a gentle reminder to pause, reset, and choose peace.
Peace, Love & Light. 💚🧘🏾♀️
Independence Begins Within: A July 4th Reflection on Freedom, Peace, and the Soul
Godd3ss Alicia
Today, we celebrate Independence Day.
Two hundred and fifty years ago, a group of people envisioned something greater than themselves—a nation built on the ideals of liberty, courage, and the pursuit of a better future.
Whether you’re celebrating with family, watching fireworks, enjoying a cookout, or simply taking a moment for yourself, today offers us something else…
An opportunity to reflect.
Reflection is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves.
We spend so much of our lives moving.
Working.
Planning.
Scrolling.
Worrying.
Reacting.
But how often do we stop long enough to ask ourselves…
“Am I truly free?”
Not politically.
Personally.
Are you free from anger that’s been weighing on your heart?
Are you free from comparing yourself to everyone you see on social media?
Are you free from needing approval from people who don’t truly know you?
Are you free from guilt over something you cannot change?
Are you free from the fear that’s been keeping you from becoming who you were created to be?
Sometimes the greatest independence we can experience isn’t celebrated with fireworks.
It’s celebrated in silence.
It’s the quiet moment when we forgive someone who never apologized.
It’s choosing peace over proving we’re right.
It’s letting go of yesterday so we can fully embrace today.
It’s deciding that our happiness is no longer dependent on someone else’s opinion.
Just as our nation has grown, struggled, learned, and evolved over the past 250 years, so have we.
Every scar tells a story.
Every setback teaches a lesson.
Every challenge offers an opportunity to grow stronger, wiser, and more compassionate.
Reflection doesn’t erase our past.
It helps us understand it.
It reminds us how far we’ve come and gently points us toward where we’re meant to go next.
Today, while the sky fills with brilliant colors, take a few moments to sit quietly.
Breathe deeply.
Listen to the wind.
Feel the warmth of the sun.
Offer gratitude for the freedoms you enjoy.
Then offer yourself another gift.
Ask yourself:
What am I ready to be free from?
Maybe it’s resentment.
Maybe it’s self-doubt.
Maybe it’s fear.
Maybe it’s the constant pressure to be perfect.
Whatever it is…
Today is a beautiful day to begin letting it go.
Freedom isn’t just something written in history books.
It’s something we choose, one decision at a time.
May this Independence Day remind you that the greatest journey you’ll ever take isn’t across a country…
It’s inward.
Toward peace.
Toward healing.
Toward becoming the most authentic version of yourself.
If this message touched your heart, please share it with someone you love and care about. Reflection has a way of healing not only ourselves but everyone whose lives we touch.
From all of us at A Godd3ss3s Cr3ation, we wish you and your loved ones a safe, joyful, and meaningful Independence Day.
Happy 250th Birthday, America. 🇺🇸
Peace, Love & Light. 💚🧘🏾♀️
Father’s Day Isn’t About the Gift—It’s About the Time 💙🌿
Godd3ss Aisha
Every year, Father’s Day rolls around and many of us find ourselves asking the same question:
“What should I get Dad?”
The truth is, some of the most meaningful gifts don’t come wrapped in a box, require a credit card, or arrive with a receipt. Often, the best gift we can give our fathers is something that becomes more valuable with every passing year—our time.
In today’s fast-paced world, we can get caught up in buying things while forgetting that connection is what most people truly crave. Whether your father is still with you, a father figure helped shape your life, or you’re a father yourself, Father’s Day can be an opportunity to nurture relationships and support holistic well-being.
Here are a few simple, meaningful, and completely free ways to spend Father’s Day together.
🚶♂️ Take a Walk Together
Fresh air, sunshine, and conversation can be incredibly healing.
A walk through a local park, around the neighborhood, or along a favorite trail creates space for stories, laughter, and connection. Movement benefits the body while meaningful conversation nourishes the soul.
You may be surprised by what you learn when you simply slow down and walk side by side.
🧘♂️ Practice Mindfulness Together
Not every father will jump at the idea of meditation, but even a few minutes of quiet reflection can be powerful.
Sit outside, listen to the birds, enjoy a sunrise, or simply spend time together appreciating the present moment. Sometimes peace is found in shared silence.
🍎 Prepare a Healthy Meal
Instead of going out, consider preparing a wholesome meal together.
Cooking creates connection. Sharing recipes, family traditions, and healthy foods can create memories that last much longer than any store-bought gift.
Plus, nourishing the body is one of the greatest acts of self-care we can practice.
📸 Share Stories and Memories
Pull out old photos, watch home videos, or simply ask questions you’ve never asked before.
What was Dad like at your age?
What lessons does he wish he learned sooner?
What were his dreams growing up?
These conversations preserve wisdom and create a legacy that can be passed down for generations.
🌿 Simply Be Present
Perhaps the greatest holistic gift is your presence.
Put down the phone. Turn off distractions. Be fully engaged for an hour, an afternoon, or an entire day.
Presence communicates love in a way that no gift ever can.
A Father’s Day Reminder
At the end of the day, Father’s Day isn’t measured by how much money was spent. It’s measured by moments shared, memories created, and love expressed.
A walk, a conversation, a healthy meal, or simply sitting together can be more meaningful than anything found on a store shelf.
This Father’s Day, consider giving the gift that costs nothing but means everything—your time.
Happy Father’s Day to all fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, mentors, and father figures who continue to guide, support, and inspire the people they love. 💙
