Parasites, Gut Health & Cleansing: Separating Fact from Fiction

Godd3ss Aisha

True Story…

By now, you’ve probably heard people talking about parasites all over social media. 😳

When I first started changing my diet and becoming more intentional about what I put into my body, I saw countless videos claiming parasites were behind everything—from sugar cravings to bloating to fatigue.

I’ll admit…

It got my attention.

Like many people, when I heard the word parasite, I immediately thought of tapeworms.

But after doing more research, I realized two things:

First, parasites are real, and certain infections do occur.

Second, there’s also a lot of misinformation online.

Not every craving, upset stomach, itchy skin, or bloated belly is caused by parasites. Those symptoms can have many different causes, and it’s important not to jump to conclusions.

So What Can You Do?

For me, this journey became less about chasing internet trends and more about taking better care of my body.

That means focusing on habits that support overall digestive health and wellness.

🧄 Garlic

Garlic has been used in traditional diets for generations and contains compounds that researchers continue to study for their potential health benefits.

Whether eaten raw or cooked into your favorite meal, it’s a nutritious addition to many diets.

🎃 Pumpkin Seeds (Pepitas)

Pepitas are packed with nutrients, healthy fats, magnesium, zinc, and fiber.

They’re a delicious snack and can be part of a balanced diet that supports overall health.

🥭 Papaya

Papaya is rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and digestive enzymes that may support healthy digestion.

The fruit is a wonderful addition to your diet if you enjoy it.

🌿 Chlorophyll

Many people enjoy liquid chlorophyll as part of their wellness routine.

While some people say it makes them feel refreshed, scientific evidence for many of the health claims made online remains limited.

If you like it, enjoy it—but don’t expect it to be a cure-all.

💧 Support Your Body Naturally

One thing I do believe in is giving the body what it needs to function well.

That includes:

💚 Drinking plenty of water

💚 Eating more whole foods

💚 Including fruits and vegetables in your meals

💚 Getting enough fiber

💚 Moving your body

💚 Getting quality sleep

💚 Managing stress

For some people, periodic fasting may also be part of their personal wellness routine if it’s appropriate for their health and they practice it safely.

Listen to Your Body

If you’re experiencing ongoing digestive problems, unexplained weight loss, severe abdominal pain, persistent diarrhea, blood in your stool, or other concerning symptoms, don’t rely on social media for answers.

Talk with a qualified healthcare professional who can determine whether testing or treatment is appropriate.

Our bodies are incredibly resilient when we nourish them with intention.

The goal isn’t to chase every wellness trend.

The goal is to create healthy habits that help you feel your best—mind, body, and spirit.

If this message resonated with you, share it with someone you love and care about. Wellness begins with learning, asking questions, and making informed choices together.

Peace, Love & Light. 💚🧘🏾‍♀️
