Homemade Mouthwash: A Simple, Natural Addition to Your Oral Care Routine

Godd3ss Aisha

True Story...

Did you know some of the spices sitting in your kitchen can make a refreshing homemade mouth rinse?

I love finding natural ways to care for my body, and this is one of my favorite DIY recipes. While it isn't a replacement for brushing, flossing, or regular dental checkups, it can be a refreshing addition to your daily oral care routine.

Let's take a look at the ingredients.

🌿 Whole Cloves

Whole cloves have been used traditionally for generations in oral care. They have a warm, spicy flavor that helps freshen your breath.

One thing to know...

If you've ever chewed on a whole clove, you know it packs a punch! 😂

(Side note: Some people chew a clove for temporary tooth discomfort, but if you're experiencing ongoing tooth pain, it's important to see your dentist.)

⭐ Star Anise

Star anise has a unique licorice-like flavor and can add a pleasant freshness to your homemade rinse. It's one of my favorite ingredients because it pairs so well with cloves and cinnamon.

🌰 Cinnamon Sticks

Besides smelling absolutely amazing, cinnamon gives this rinse a warm, comforting flavor.

Together, these three ingredients create a naturally aromatic mouth rinse that's easy to make at home.

Here's How I Make It

Ingredients

  • 3–9 whole cloves (I like mine strong, so I usually use 9!)

  • 1 whole star anise (or 2 smaller pieces if broken

  • 1 cinnamon stick, snapped in half

  • Distilled or alkaline water

Tea Pot Method (My Favorite)

  1. Place the cloves, star anise, and cinnamon into your tea infuser.

  2. Bring your water to a boil.

  3. Pour the hot water over the spices.

  4. Let everything steep for 20–30 minutes.

  5. Allow it to cool completely.

  6. Pour it into a clean glass bottle for storage.

Pot Method

  1. Add the spices and water to a pot.

  2. Bring everything to a gentle boil.

  3. Remove from the heat.

  4. Let it steep and cool for 20–30 minutes.

  5. Strain and transfer to a clean glass bottle.

Storage

To keep your rinse fresh, store it in the refrigerator and make small batches that you'll use within a few days.

Some people add a preservative, but I personally prefer simply making fresh batches and keeping them chilled.

A Gentle Reminder

Natural remedies can be wonderful additions to a healthy lifestyle, but they work best alongside good oral hygiene—not instead of it.

Brush twice a day.

Floss daily.

Visit your dentist regularly.

Think of this homemade mouth rinse as another way to care for yourself, naturally.

If you decide to give it a try, I'd love to hear what you think!

And if you enjoy simple, holistic ideas like this, share this blog with someone you love and care about. 💚

Light a Candle, Feed Your Soul: The Holistic Magic of Natural Candles 🕯️✨

Godd3ss Alicia

Have you ever noticed how lighting a candle can instantly change the mood of a room?

One moment you’re stressed, overwhelmed, and mentally juggling a thousand things. The next, a soft glow fills the space, a gentle scent drifts through the air, and suddenly the world feels just a little calmer.

That’s the magic of candles.

But not all candles are created equal. Natural candles, often made from soy wax, beeswax, or coconut wax and infused with essential oils, offer more than just fragrance—they can be a simple yet powerful tool for holistic wellness.

🌿 Creating a Sacred Pause

Life moves fast.

We’re constantly connected, scrolling, working, and multitasking. Lighting a natural candle can serve as a signal to slow down.

It says:

“This moment is for me.”

Whether you’re journaling, meditating, praying, reading, or simply enjoying a quiet cup of tea, a candle creates an intentional space for self-care and reflection.

💚 Aromatherapy for the Soul

Natural candles often contain essential oils that can help support relaxation and emotional well-being.

Lavender may encourage calmness.

Peppermint can feel refreshing and energizing.

Citrus scents often bring feelings of positivity and joy.

Eucalyptus can create a sense of renewal and clarity.

Sometimes healing begins not with what we do, but with how we feel.

🧘🏾‍♀️ A Tool for Mindfulness

One of the simplest mindfulness practices is to sit quietly and focus on a candle flame.

Watch it dance.

Notice its movement.

Take slow breaths.

Allow your mind to settle.

This simple practice can help create moments of peace in an otherwise noisy world.

✨ Setting Intentions

Many people use candles as part of their personal rituals.

Before lighting a candle, take a moment to set an intention:

“I choose peace.”

“I choose gratitude.”

“I choose healing.”

“I choose joy.”

The candle becomes a reminder of that intention long after it’s lit.

🌸 Coming Soon to A Godd3ss3s Cr3ation

We’re excited to share that natural candles will soon be arriving in the A Godd3ss3s Cr3ation shop!

🌟 The Glow We All Need

Natural candles won’t solve every problem.

They won’t pay the bills, clean the house, or answer your emails.

But they can help create a space where your mind can rest, your spirit can breathe, and your soul can reconnect with what matters most.

Sometimes holistic wellness isn’t found in doing more.

Sometimes it’s found in slowing down, lighting a candle, taking a deep breath, and remembering that you deserve moments of peace.

So tonight, light a candle.

Dim the lights.

Breathe deeply.

And let your soul enjoy a little glow of its own. 🕯️💚

Father’s Day Isn’t About the Gift—It’s About the Time 💙🌿

Godd3ss Aisha

Every year, Father’s Day rolls around and many of us find ourselves asking the same question:

“What should I get Dad?”

The truth is, some of the most meaningful gifts don’t come wrapped in a box, require a credit card, or arrive with a receipt. Often, the best gift we can give our fathers is something that becomes more valuable with every passing year—our time.

In today’s fast-paced world, we can get caught up in buying things while forgetting that connection is what most people truly crave. Whether your father is still with you, a father figure helped shape your life, or you’re a father yourself, Father’s Day can be an opportunity to nurture relationships and support holistic well-being.

Here are a few simple, meaningful, and completely free ways to spend Father’s Day together.

🚶‍♂️ Take a Walk Together

Fresh air, sunshine, and conversation can be incredibly healing.

A walk through a local park, around the neighborhood, or along a favorite trail creates space for stories, laughter, and connection. Movement benefits the body while meaningful conversation nourishes the soul.

You may be surprised by what you learn when you simply slow down and walk side by side.

🧘‍♂️ Practice Mindfulness Together

Not every father will jump at the idea of meditation, but even a few minutes of quiet reflection can be powerful.

Sit outside, listen to the birds, enjoy a sunrise, or simply spend time together appreciating the present moment. Sometimes peace is found in shared silence.

🍎 Prepare a Healthy Meal

Instead of going out, consider preparing a wholesome meal together.

Cooking creates connection. Sharing recipes, family traditions, and healthy foods can create memories that last much longer than any store-bought gift.

Plus, nourishing the body is one of the greatest acts of self-care we can practice.

📸 Share Stories and Memories

Pull out old photos, watch home videos, or simply ask questions you’ve never asked before.

What was Dad like at your age?

What lessons does he wish he learned sooner?

What were his dreams growing up?

These conversations preserve wisdom and create a legacy that can be passed down for generations.

🌿 Simply Be Present

Perhaps the greatest holistic gift is your presence.

Put down the phone. Turn off distractions. Be fully engaged for an hour, an afternoon, or an entire day.

Presence communicates love in a way that no gift ever can.

A Father’s Day Reminder

At the end of the day, Father’s Day isn’t measured by how much money was spent. It’s measured by moments shared, memories created, and love expressed.

A walk, a conversation, a healthy meal, or simply sitting together can be more meaningful than anything found on a store shelf.

This Father’s Day, consider giving the gift that costs nothing but means everything—your time.

Happy Father’s Day to all fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, mentors, and father figures who continue to guide, support, and inspire the people they love. 💙

Nature Knows Best: 3 Simple Ways to Embrace Natural Healing 🌿✨

Godd3ss Alicia

Life gets busy. Between work, family, responsibilities, and the endless notifications on our phones, it’s easy to forget that some of the best medicine has been around us all along—nature.

Natural healing doesn’t have to involve complicated routines or expensive treatments. Sometimes the smallest changes can make the biggest difference in how we feel. Here are three simple ways to embrace a more holistic lifestyle.

🍃 1. Herbal Teas for Mind and Body

There’s something magical about slowing down with a warm cup of herbal tea.

Chamomile can help you relax after a stressful day, peppermint may soothe digestion, and ginger has long been used to support the body’s natural defenses. Taking ten minutes to enjoy a cup isn’t just about the herbs—it’s about giving yourself permission to pause.

Sometimes healing begins with simply slowing down.

🧘🏾‍♀️ 2. Breathe, Stretch, and Be Present

You don’t need a mountain retreat or expensive yoga studio to practice mindfulness.

Spend five minutes each morning taking deep breaths, stretching your body, or sitting quietly in gratitude. When we reduce stress, we allow our minds and bodies to reset. The world may still be chaotic, but your spirit doesn’t have to be.

Healing often starts with finding peace in the present moment.

🥗 3. Let Food Be Your Daily Self-Care

Fresh fruits, colorful vegetables, whole grains, herbs, and clean proteins aren’t just fuel—they’re gifts to your body.

Instead of focusing on restrictive diets, think about adding more natural foods that nourish you. Every healthy meal is another opportunity to love yourself from the inside out.

Your body is constantly working for you. Why not give it the best ingredients possible?

🌸 The Real Secret

Natural healing isn’t about being perfect. It’s about creating daily habits that help you feel your best physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Take a walk outside. Drink more water. Smile at yourself in the mirror. Meditate. Laugh with friends. Choose foods that energize you. Light a candle and relax.

Healing doesn’t always happen in giant leaps—it often happens through small, intentional choices made every single day.

Nature has always provided what we need. Sometimes we simply have to slow down long enough to receive it.

Be kind to your body, feed your soul, and trust the journey. 💚
