Solitude: Sometimes You Have to Go Inside
True Story — 8.18.26
(Higher Self in bold)
I'm scrolling through the TV guide...
Forensic Files. 🤔
"Okay...let's solve the case."
Scroll some more...
Unsolved Mysteries.
👀 Ohhhh yeah.
After finishing both shows—and obviously solving the cases in my mind 🙂😂—I noticed something.
I couldn't stop thinking about the stories.
Remember why you stopped watching shows like this? You absorb the trauma like it's yours.
🤔🤔🤔
She had a point.
I started thinking about the past few days and realized I'd been entertaining a LOT of negativity, especially on social media.
🚫 PAUSE. 🚫
Why am I doing this?
What's really going on?
You already know. You've been here before.
Do I dare say it?
Depression. 🥺
My first reaction was denial.
"Wait...when I was depressed back in the day, I drank and cried. I'm not doing either of those things."
True. But look at what you ARE doing. You're entertaining low-vibrational things and starting to become comfortable there.
😔
Ouch.
But she was right.
I was sleeping nine or ten hours.
I was waking between 2:00 and 4:00 in the morning feeling like I needed to go outside.
I wasn't feeling like myself.
And deep down...
I knew it.
Time to Go Inside
That's when I decided that beginning 8.22.26, I was going into solitude.
I call it:
Going Inside.
For me, that meant pulling back from everything so I could figure out what was happening within myself.
No social media.
No hanging out.
No unnecessary phone calls.
No constant communication.
Just...
Me.
Six years ago, that idea would've terrified me.
I've stayed in relationships longer than I should have simply because I was afraid of my own company.
Now?
I knew solitude was exactly what I needed.
I sent an email to Niel and Goddess Alicia letting them know I needed some time to get myself together.
Then, when my husband left for work, I sat.
No music.
No television.
Just me...
And the AC. 😂
Eventually, my Higher Self asked:
What's wrong?
🥺
"I'm not where I want to be in life."
"I want more."
"I feel stagnant."
There it was.
The truth.
Patience, Aisha
My Higher Self answered:
Patience, Aisha.
Not everything happens according to your timeline. Take this opportunity to practice gratitude for what you DO have.
You're learning patience.
You're learning how to love unconditionally.
And whether you realize it or not, your writing has helped people.
Keep going.
Things will work themselves out.
My response?
"But..."
😂
No buts.
Patience, Aisha.
And if I'm keeping it 💯, I didn't like how I'd been feeling.
I also knew something was wrong when I started gravitating toward those shows and negative content again.
Of course, Ego had an explanation:
"Nahhh, you're good. You're just switching things up. Besides...when was the last time you solved a case?"
😂😂😂
Nice try, Ego.
What Solitude Gave Me
Every Day, I got up and intentionally spent time alone.
I practiced breath work.
I started working out again.
I sat with my thoughts instead of trying to drown them out with noise.
And slowly, things started making sense.
Solitude gave me the space to examine my recent actions and, more importantly, understand why I was doing them.
That's why I call it Going Inside.
Because sometimes the answers we're desperately searching for everywhere else aren't out there.
They're already inside us.
Today is 8.27.26.
Originally, I said I wasn't coming back until September 1st.
But here I am...
Writing. 💚
Once I acknowledged what I was feeling, broke it down, and started working through it, I realized I didn't need to disappear until some arbitrary date.
I felt compelled to write.
So I listened.
I'm not going to intentionally keep myself away from something that helps me feel like myself simply because I picked a date on a calendar.
Solitude Isn't Isolation
There's an important difference.
For me, solitude was intentional.
I wasn't trying to hide from life.
I was creating enough quiet to hear myself again.
Sometimes we need that.
But if you're experiencing persistent sadness, major changes in sleep, hopelessness, or other symptoms that aren't improving, solitude doesn't have to mean handling everything alone. Reaching out to someone you trust or a mental-health professional can be part of taking care of yourself too.
Going inside doesn't mean shutting everyone out forever.
It means giving yourself enough space to understand what's happening inside you.
And that brings me to something else I've been thinking about...
Self-awareness.
Sometimes our own thinking can become our biggest obstacle.
And when we're not self-aware, it's incredibly easy to blame everyone and everything around us instead of asking:
"Wait...what part am I playing in this?"
So here's my question for you:
Are YOU self-aware?
Can you call yourself out?
Please reflect on your own behavior and keep it 100% with yourself.
Not just mindful...
Self-aware.
🤔
Actually...
That sounds like a pretty good topic for my next blog—or maybe the next podcast.
Until next time, my beautiful souls. 😌

Apologizing to Your Younger Self: Healing the Parts of You That You Left Behind
Godd3ss Aisha
True Story
⚠️ TRIGGER WARNING: This blog discusses sexual assault and physical abuse. Please read with care. 💚
(Scrolling through Instagram...)
I came across a reel that asked:
"Have you ever apologized to your younger self?"
The woman talked about how, at some point in our lives, many of us abandoned a younger version of ourselves. Something happened, we put on our "big girl" or "big boy" pants, and we just kept moving.
🤔🤔🤔
I didn't even finish the reel.
My immediate response was:
"Hmmm...I've never abandoned myself."
🙄
My Higher Self had something to say about that.
Let's think about this.
My mind started traveling backward.
Germany.
Being a young girl.
My first crush.
The first time I experienced rejection.
🤔
"See? I'm good!"
Then came the thought I didn't want:
This may hurt, but if we're going to move forward, we have to revisit Shooks Run Park.
🥺
Deep breath.
The Moment Something Changed
I was 15.
My best friend was 14.
One evening, something happened to us that should never happen to anyone.
We were sexually assaulted.
I'm not going into the details because the details aren't what's important here.
What's important is what happened inside me afterward.
My life changed.
Looking back now, I realize that's when I told myself:
"Not again."
I built a wall.
And I kept going.
I didn't realize it at the time, but part of that 15-year-old girl stayed behind that wall.
Then my Higher Self pushed a little further.
If we're doing this, let's get it all out.
🥺
I thought about another chapter of my life—a physically abusive relationship.
And then came a realization that hurt:
Aisha, you were already wounded. You learned how to survive, but surviving isn't the same thing as healing.
Damn.
😡🥺
That's when the anger came.
But eventually another message followed:
It's time to forgive yourself.
Look at Her
Go to the mirror.
👀
I walked into the restroom and looked at myself.
And immediately...
Niagara Falls.
😭😭😭
It's okay. Look into your eyes. Apologize to her. Forgive her.
I could barely see myself through the tears.
Then I wrapped my arms around myself.
And I whispered:
"I'm sorry I left you."
"I forgive you."
🫂
Deep breath.
I looked back into that mirror.
Nothing magical happened.
The past didn't disappear.
But something felt different.
For once, I wasn't pretending everything was okay while hurting underneath.
I acknowledged her.
That young girl.
The scared girl.
The angry girl.
The girl who decided she had to become tough because being vulnerable didn't feel safe anymore.
I finally told her:
I see you.
Maybe Your Story Is Different
Your story may be nothing like mine—and I truly hope it isn't.
But I think many of us can identify a moment when something happened and we essentially said:
"Forget it. I'm moving on."
And we did.
We went to school.
Built careers.
Raised children.
Started relationships.
Paid bills.
Went to our 9-to-5s.
Laughed.
Loved.
Lived.
But somewhere underneath all of that may still be a wounded version of ourselves that we never went back for.
Maybe that's the person you need to talk to.
Reconnect With YOU
What I did in front of that mirror might sound strange to some people.
That's okay.
It helped me.
This journey belongs to you.
If you need to hug yourself...
Do it.
If you need to look into the mirror and encourage yourself...
Do it.
If you need to journal...
Cry...
Meditate...
Pray...
Or talk with someone you trust...
Do it.
And if revisiting painful experiences becomes overwhelming, there's absolutely nothing wrong with seeking support from a qualified mental-health professional who can help you work through them safely.
Healing isn't about pretending the past didn't happen.
For me, it's about reconnecting with every version of myself:
The broken me.
The angry me.
The scared me.
The timid me.
The strong me.
And saying:
"I recognize where I left you. I'm sorry. I'm here now."
😌
That realization helped me begin releasing some weight I'd carried for far too long.
It helped me look differently at boundaries.
At relationships.
At myself.
Most importantly, it reminded me that being strong doesn't mean never crying or never hurting.
Sometimes strength means finally allowing yourself to feel what you've spent years trying not to feel.
So here's my question:
Have you ever apologized to your younger self?
Maybe today is the day to have that conversation.
Give that younger version of yourself some grace.
Give them a hug.
And remind them...
You didn't forget them. You're coming back for them. 💚
Until next time.
Peace, Love & Light. 💚🧘🏾♀️
Emotions: Feel Them, Process Them, Release Them
Godd3ss Aisha
There's a line from the '90s H-Town song "Emotions" that takes me right back:
"The first time I felt emotions was when I came out of my mother's womb and cried." 😌
Ohhhh, the memories that song brings back!
But during the beginning of my Internet Fast, I found myself thinking about emotions in a completely different way.
I realized some things in my life needed to change.
Actually...
Not things.
Me. 🥺
In Meditation...
I started crying. 😭
My Higher Self asked:
"It's okay to cry. Why have you been holding back for so long?"
My answer?
"Because I have to be strong. I have to push through. Crying isn't going to solve anything."
Then came the response I needed:
"Godd3ss, crying is a form of release. Pain, joy, anger—whatever you're feeling, allow yourself to feel it. If you don't feel it, how can you begin to heal it?"
That stayed with me.
As the days passed, I found myself experiencing so many different emotions.
There was a time when my answer would've been simple:
Grab a glass.
Pour a drink.
Blast some music.
Cry until my eyelids were swollen. 🤦🏾♀️
Did that thought cross my mind?
Of course it did.
But then I asked myself:
And then what?
The emotions would still be there.
So instead of escaping them, I decided to sit with them.
Let's process these emotions and figure out what they're trying to tell me.
Pain 🥺
"Why are you hurting?"
If I was going to be completely honest with myself...
I already knew.
Or at least I had a pretty good idea. 🤔
Part of my pain came from realizing I had been right about something when I desperately didn't want to be.
That hurt.
So I cried.
I allowed myself to feel it.
Then I started releasing it.
Because carrying that pain wasn't changing what happened.
It was only changing me.
My sleep was off.
My eating was off.
My energy was off.
Something had to change.
Anger 🤬
Next question:
"Why are you angry?"
My immediate response?
THE AUDACITY!!! 😂
Then my Higher Self checked me:
"Is this really you...or is this pride?"
👀
Well...
There goes that ego and pride again.
Deep down, I had already seen some signs.
My intuition had been speaking.
I didn't want to listen.
And that's okay.
The lesson isn't to beat myself up because I missed—or ignored—the signs.
The lesson is to learn from them.
Sometimes those little feelings and questions inside us are telling us to slow down and pay attention.
So I reminded myself:
Patience, Goddess.
Give yourself grace.
But learn from this.
Fear 😳
Then came the hardest question:
"What are you afraid of?"
🥺
"I don't know."
"Yes, you do."
😭
"What do I do now?!"
And then...
"You already know what you're going to do. You've just lost some confidence."
That one hit me.
So I went back to something that's helped me before.
Affirmations.
Deep breath. 🧘🏾♀️
I am powerful.
I am abundant.
I am healthy.
I am prosperous.
I am protected and guided by The Most High.
SO IT IS. 😌
Deep breath.
Nothing magically changed overnight.
The situation was still the situation.
But I was beginning to change.
Feel It Without Living In It
I went deeper into meditation.
I cried.
I practiced my breath work.
And between the tears and breaths, I kept repeating:
"I release you."
That doesn't mean pretending something didn't happen.
It doesn't mean forgetting.
And it certainly doesn't mean every difficult emotion disappears because you meditated once.
For me, it means acknowledging what I'm feeling instead of running from it.
Our emotions can affect how we sleep, eat, communicate, work, and move through our everyday lives. Constantly suppressing them doesn't necessarily make them disappear.
Sometimes we need to permit ourselves to feel.
To cry.
To journal.
To breathe.
To pray.
To meditate.
To talk with someone we trust.
And sometimes, when things become too heavy to carry alone, reaching out for professional support can be another form of strength and self-care.
Life is going to throw curves at us like the letter B. 😂
We can't control all of them.
But we can work on how we respond.
If you're carrying emotional baggage that's been eating away at you, don't automatically bury it.
Sit with it.
Ask yourself why it's there.
Process what you can.
Learn what it's trying to teach you.
Then, when you're ready...
Release what you no longer need to carry.
And above all, give yourself grace while you're doing it.
You are not alone in this. 💚
If this message speaks to you, share it with someone you love and care about. They may be carrying emotions they haven't permitted themselves to release.
Until next time, my beautiful souls. 😌

Detox: Sometimes the Greatest Cleanse Isn't Physical
Godd3ss Aisha
True Story...
(Higher Self)
"It's time for a change, Godd3ss."
"I feel you slipping." 😔
"This is going to hurt a little..." 🥺
"But you already knew that."
"Fear nothing. As you know, you're not walking this journey alone." 😌
(Deep breath.)
There comes a point in life when you have to make a decision.
You can keep carrying what's weighing you down...
Or you can let it go.
When most people hear the word detox, they think about juice cleanses, teas, supplements, or over-the-counter products.
But what if the biggest detox your life needs has nothing to do with your body?
What if it's your energy?
Your thoughts?
Your habits?
Your relationships?
Your memories?
Sometimes we're holding on to things that no longer serve us simply because they've become familiar.
But familiar doesn't always mean healthy.
If it no longer serves your higher good...
Why are you still carrying it?
For me, I realized another thing I needed to detox from.
My phone.
Social media.
The constant scrolling.
The endless notifications.
The pressure to stay connected all the time.
So beginning August 1st through August 7th, I'm doing something I've never done before.
An Internet Fast.
No posting.
No sharing.
No scrolling.
No engaging online.
Instead...
I'm choosing to reconnect with myself.
I'm going to meditate.
Read.
Journal.
Get back into my workouts.
Create a new jazz playlist.
And, as we say in the spiritual community...
Cut the cords.
Release.
Not because the internet is bad.
But because I've realized I've been drifting away from what matters most.
My peace of mind.
The mind and body work together.
When the mind is overwhelmed...
Our energy changes.
Our spirit feels heavy.
Our body follows.
Sometimes the healthiest thing we can do is unplug long enough to hear our own thoughts again.
Maybe your detox looks different than mine.
Maybe you need to release anger.
Forgive someone.
Walk away from a relationship.
Break an unhealthy habit.
Turn off the television.
Step away from social media.
Or spend an afternoon in silence.
Whatever it is...
Permit yourself to reset.
Give yourself grace.
Remember...
We're not striving to be perfect.
We're striving to become more peaceful.
More intentional.
More authentic.
More present.
If you've been feeling that quiet voice telling you it's time for a change...
Listen to it.
Your higher self usually knows long before your mind is ready to admit it.
I'd love to hear from you.
What do you need to detox from?
If this message resonated with you, share it with someone you love and care about. They may be carrying something they're ready to release too.
Until next time...
Sleep Deprivation: Why Rest Is One of the Greatest Gifts
Godd3ss Alicia
When was the last time you woke up feeling truly rested?
Not just awake because the alarm clock said it was time.
Not after hitting the snooze button three times.
I mean genuinely refreshed, energized, and ready to take on the day.
For many people, quality sleep has become a luxury instead of a priority. Between work, family responsibilities, stress, scrolling on our phones, and trying to fit "just one more thing" into the day, sleep is often the first thing we sacrifice.
The problem is, our bodies eventually collect that debt.
Why Sleep Matters
Sleep isn't simply a time when your body shuts down.
It's when your body goes to work.
While you're sleeping, your brain processes memories, your muscles recover, your immune system strengthens, and your body works to restore itself for another day.
When you don't get enough sleep, you may notice:
Feeling tired even after waking up
Difficulty concentrating or remembering things
Mood swings or irritability
Increased stress or anxiety
Frequent headaches
Low energy
Cravings for sugary or high-calorie foods
Feeling sleepy during quiet moments
One restless night happens to all of us.
But when poor sleep becomes a habit, it can begin affecting your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Small Changes Can Make a Big Difference
The good news is that better sleep doesn't always require a complete lifestyle overhaul.
Sometimes the smallest habits make the biggest difference.
Create a Consistent Routine
Try going to bed and waking up around the same time every day—even on weekends.
Your body loves routines, and keeping a regular sleep schedule helps regulate your internal clock.
Give Your Mind Time to Slow Down
Instead of scrolling social media until your eyes close, spend the last 30 to 60 minutes before bed doing something relaxing.
You might try:
Reading a book
Gentle stretching
Meditation
Deep breathing
Listening to calming music
Taking a warm bath or shower
Think of it as telling your body,
"It's okay...you can rest now."
Put the Phone Away
This one is difficult for many of us.
The blue light from our phones, tablets, and computers can interfere with melatonin, the hormone that helps regulate sleep.
Try putting your devices away about an hour before bedtime.
Your brain will thank you.
Watch What You Eat and Drink
Late-day caffeine, large meals, alcohol, and nicotine can all interfere with restful sleep.
If you're hungry before bed, keep it light.
A banana, yogurt, or a small handful of nuts may be enough to satisfy your hunger without disrupting your sleep.
Move Your Body
Regular exercise can improve both the quality and length of your sleep.
It doesn't have to be intense.
A daily walk, yoga session, or bike ride can all make a positive difference.
Create a Peaceful Sleep Environment
Your bedroom should be a place your body associates with rest.
Consider:
Keeping the room cool
Making it as dark as possible
Reducing noise with a fan or white noise
Investing in comfortable pillows and a supportive mattress
Sometimes it's the environment—not your body—that's keeping you awake.
Calm Your Mind
Stress is one of the biggest reasons people struggle to fall asleep.
Before bed, try:
Journaling
Gratitude
Mindfulness meditation
Gentle yoga
Progressive muscle relaxation
Deep breathing exercises
Even five or ten quiet minutes can help calm a busy mind.
Let the Sun Wake You Up
One of the simplest ways to improve your sleep at night is to get outside in the morning.
Natural sunlight helps regulate your body's internal clock and can make it easier to fall asleep later that evening.
Listen to Your Body
Sometimes difficulty sleeping is more than just stress or a busy schedule.
If you've been struggling with poor sleep for several weeks, wake up gasping for air, snore heavily, or feel exhausted even after spending enough time in bed, it's important to talk with a healthcare professional. Conditions such as sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, anxiety disorders, and other medical conditions can interfere with healthy sleep and may require treatment.
Asking for help isn't a sign of weakness.
It's another way of taking care of yourself.
Rest Is Self-Care
In a world that often celebrates being busy, choosing rest can feel almost rebellious.
But the truth is, sleep isn't something you earn after you've done enough.
It's one of the most important ways you prepare yourself to do your best tomorrow.
Your body deserves rest.
Your mind deserves peace.
Your soul deserves stillness.
So tonight, consider permitting yourself to slow down.
Turn off the phone.
Take a deep breath.
Say a prayer or write down a few things you're grateful for.
Then let yourself rest.
Tomorrow will still be there when you wake up.
I'd love to hear from you.
What helps you get your best night's sleep?

Flow State: Trust the Process and Keep Moving
Godd3ss Aisha
https://open.spotify.com/track/1Et26oqYztuCtr2DQhzfWe?si=f0e892aab1b146e4
"I be in a flow state, flow state... everything is okay, okay..." 🎶
If you've listened to Londrell's "Flow State," you know exactly what I'm talking about.
But what is a flow state?
To me, a flow state is choosing a mindset where you stop trying to control everything and instead trust the journey. You stay present, accept both the highs and the lows, and keep moving forward.
I've talked about this before in previous blogs.
The past has already happened.
The future hasn't arrived.
The only place we truly have any power is right now.
That wasn't always easy for me.
If I didn't get a job, I'd replay the interview over and over.
"What could I have said differently?"
"What did I do wrong?"
Or maybe a family member I was close to suddenly stopped talking to me.
I'd spend days wondering...
"Did I say something?"
"Did I offend them?"
I'd overthink everything.
Then one day during meditation, something clicked.
It was like my higher self gently reminded me...
"You didn't get the job because it wasn't meant for you."
"You already saw the red flags. The pay wasn't right, and the interviewer wasn't respectful. It wouldn't have been a healthy environment."
Then came another realization.
"That family member? They had their own issues. Their silence wasn't about your worth."
A year later, I found out there had indeed been conversations happening behind my back.
And you know what?
I didn't need revenge.
I didn't need answers.
I just needed to trust that what no longer served me was being removed from my life.
Sometimes we fight so hard to hold onto people, jobs, or situations that aren't meant for us.
Meanwhile, life is quietly making room for something better.
That's what "flow state" means to me.
It doesn't mean pretending everything is perfect.
It means believing that even when life feels uncertain, everything is going to be okay.
Sometimes what feels like rejection is actually protection.
Sometimes what feels like loss is actually growth.
And sometimes the Universe is simply helping us let go of what we've been holding onto for far too long.
I love listening to Flow State because it's more than a song.
It's an affirmation.
A reminder that my subconscious is always listening to the words I repeat.
So why not feed it something hopeful?
Take a moment today.
Pause.
Breathe.
Trust yourself.
Trust the process.
Let life flow.
Growth isn't always comfortable, but that's exactly what makes it growth.
So instead of getting stuck...
Flow and grow.
I'd love to hear from you.
Have you ever looked back and realized that something you thought was a setback was actually leading you toward something better?
Share your thoughts in the comments.
And if this blog encouraged you, share it with someone you love and care about. You never know who might need the reminder that everything really is going to be okay.

Energy Vampires: Are You Protecting Your Peace?
Godd3ss Aisha
True Story
If you follow me on social media, you've probably seen me talk about energy vampires and the importance of protecting your peace.
So...what exactly is an energy vampire?
You might know one.
Or...
You might be one and not even realize it. 👀
Now, don't get me wrong—life is going to life. We all have difficult seasons, and sometimes we genuinely need someone to listen. There is absolutely nothing wrong with asking for support.
I'm talking about the people who seem to find negativity in every positive conversation. The ones who always have another sad story, another crisis, another complaint, and somehow leave everyone around them feeling emotionally exhausted.
A few years ago, I worked with someone like that.
I'm naturally an empathetic person. I don't mind listening, encouraging people, or sharing my own experiences if it helps someone else.
But every conversation with this person followed the same pattern.
She'd come to me feeling defeated.
I'd spend time encouraging her.
She'd walk away feeling better...
And somehow, I'd walk away feeling worse. 😔
She went on with her day, while I spent mine carrying emotions that weren't even mine.
It was like clockwork.
She felt lighter.
I felt drained.
Was she doing it on purpose?
Probably not.
But intentional or not, the effect on me was the same.
At first, I joked that maybe I should run the other way every time I saw her coming.
"Not today, Satan!" 🏃🏾♀️💨😂
Instead, I realized something much healthier.
I could care...
Without carrying.
The next time she came to me with another difficult situation, I simply said,
"I'm so sorry you're going through that. I'll keep you in my prayers."
That was it.
Short.
Kind.
Honest.
Some people may think that's rude.
I don't.
That's called protecting your peace.
Helping others should never require sacrificing your own emotional well-being.
Healthy boundaries aren't selfish.
They're necessary.
If someone's negativity constantly leaves you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally drained, it may be time to step back a little.
That doesn't mean you stop caring.
It simply means you stop carrying what isn't yours to carry.
Now, here's where I have to be honest...
At one point, I was the energy vampire.
Not intentionally.
When I was hurting, I wanted everyone around me to understand my pain. I vented to anyone who would listen, hoping they'd understand what I was going through.
After I got it off my chest...
I felt better.
But they didn't.
They were still upset, replaying my problems in their minds.
I had unknowingly passed my emotional weight onto someone else.
Today, I handle things differently.
I still talk things through—but with two trusted Goddesses.
I journal.
I meditate.
I pray.
I breathe.
Those practices help me process my emotions without placing them on everyone around me.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with venting.
Just be mindful of how often you do it, who you're doing it with, and whether you're also taking steps to process those emotions in healthy ways.
Because emotions are contagious.
So I'll leave you with one question...
Are you protecting your peace...or unintentionally draining someone else's?
I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
If this blog spoke to you, share it with someone you love and care about. You never know who might need the reminder that it's okay to care deeply while still protecting your own peace.
Until next time...

The Four Agreements: Four Simple Principles That Can Change Your Life
Godd3ss Aisha
True Story...
I remember the first time someone recommended The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.
My first thought was...
"That book is so thin...what could he possibly have written in so few pages that's considered life-changing?" 🤔😂
So I opened it.
And I started reading.
As I made my way through each chapter, I found myself asking...
"Does this even apply to me?"
(My ego answered first. 😉)
Then I realized...
Oh yes.
It absolutely does.
The Four Agreements are simple:
💚 Be Impeccable With Your Word (Be honest and speak with integrity.)
💚 Don't Take Anything Personally
💚 Don't Make Assumptions
💚 Always Do Your Best
At first glance, you might think,
"I already do those things."
👀
But...
Do you really?
Think about this.
Have you ever talked to someone who's normally cheerful, but one day they seemed distant or short with you?
What was your first thought?
"Did I do something?"
"Are they mad at me?"
"What's their problem?"
Be honest...
Most of us have been there.
Now let's connect that to The Four Agreements.
Without even realizing it, we often:
✔️ Make assumptions.
✔️ Take things personally.
All because we never stopped
to ask,
"Are you okay?"
Instead, our minds start creating stories that may not even be true.
I've done it.
🤦🏾♀️
I've replayed conversations in my head.
Imagined scenarios.
Worked myself into feelings that were based on assumptions instead of facts.
Had I asked one question...
"Are you okay?"
I probably would've saved myself a whole lot of unnecessary emotions. 😂
Then there's the agreement about doing your best.
I'll be honest...
Some mornings, that alarm goes off, and my first thought is,
"I'm just going to do enough to get through today."
We've all had those days.
But doing your best doesn't always mean giving 100%.
Sometimes your best is 100%.
Sometimes it's 80%.
Sometimes it's 40%.
Your best changes depending on what life is asking of you.
The important thing is that you show up honestly with whatever your best looks like that day.
So How Does This Affect Your Health?
More than you might think.
Making assumptions can lead to overthinking.
Overthinking can create stress.
Stress can become anxiety.
Anxiety can affect your sleep.
Your eating habits.
Your relationships.
Your mood.
It's a domino effect.
Sometimes protecting your peace begins with changing the stories you tell yourself.
That's one reason this little book has had such a big impact on so many people.
Its lessons are simple...
But applying them takes practice.
If you've never read The Four Agreements, I highly recommend it.
And if you have...
How's it going?
Have you truly made those agreements with yourself?
I'd love to hear your thoughts.
If this message resonated with you, share it with someone you love and care about. It just might inspire them to look at life—and themselves—a little differently.
Until next time...
Self-Care Sunday: The One Appointment You Should Never Cancel
Godd3ss Aisha
True Story…
(Subliminal affirmations playing through my Bluetooth sleep mask.)
“I am healthy. I am abundant. I am right where I need to be.”
As I slowly opened my eyes, my first thought was…
“All praises to the Most High. Thank You for another Rising.” 💚
Then my mind started making its list.
“I need to wash my hair.”
“I’d love to soak in a hot bath.”
“It’s been a long week.”
Then another thought came…
Today is going to be about me.
All me.
All day.
So I turned to my boyfriend and said,
“Babe, I’m officially declaring Sundays my Self-Care Sundays.”
He looked at me and laughed.
“Now what kind of craziness are you talking about?” 😂
I smiled and said,
“I think everyone should take one day out of every seven and dedicate it to themselves.”
Not to work.
Not to errands.
Not to social media.
Not to everyone else’s needs.
Just…
You.
Maybe that means unplugging from the world for a while.
Maybe it’s meditation.
Reading.
Prayer.
Journaling.
Yoga.
A walk.
Or simply sitting quietly with your own thoughts.
For me?
I’m drawing a nice hot bath.
Adding Epsom salts.
Crushing fresh herbs and rose petals.
Lighting a few candles.
Putting on some smooth jazz or calming frequencies.
Maybe I’ll read.
Maybe I’ll journal.
Maybe I’ll stretch.
Maybe I’ll simply breathe.
The point isn’t what I do…
The point is that I’m intentionally resetting.
How Do You Reset?
Or…
Do you?
Some people hear “Self-Care Sunday” and immediately think,
“Who has time for that?”
My answer?
We make time for what we believe is important.
Think about it.
How many hours do we spend scrolling social media?
Watching television?
Binge-watching another series?
We often have the time.
We’ve just gotten used to giving it away.
Now, don’t get me wrong.
If watching your favorite show helps you unwind, that’s perfectly okay.
But ask yourself this:
How do you feel afterward?
Refreshed?
Recharged?
Peaceful?
Or simply distracted for a little while?
(Think back to my blog about stress, anger, and anxiety.)
Sometimes our minds need something deeper than distraction.
They need restoration.
Try Something Different
Step outside your comfort zone.
Open that book you’ve been meaning to read.
(Reading really is fundamental. 😊)
Take that long bath.
Add the Epsom salts.
Light a few candles.
Take slow, intentional breaths.
Sit in silence.
Reconnect…
Not with social media.
Not even with nature.
Reconnect with yourself.
Be fully present.
The past has already happened.
Tomorrow hasn’t arrived.
Right now…
Just be.
When you feel ready, then plan your week.
Prepare for Monday.
Organize your schedule.
But don’t let planning steal today’s peace.
And if you’re thinking,
“Aisha, I can’t dedicate an entire day.”
That’s okay.
Start with four hours.
Four uninterrupted hours dedicated to your mind, body, and soul.
Can you give yourself that?
It doesn’t have to be Sunday.
Choose whichever day works for your life.
Just choose you.
I’d love to hear what happens when you make yourself a priority.
If this message speaks to your heart, share it with someone you love and care about. They may need permission to slow down and care for themselves, too.

Stress, Anger, Anxiety & The World: How Do YOU Handle It?
Godd3ss Aisha
True Story...
(The thoughts in parentheses are conversations with my higher self.)
I'm scrolling...
A young life lost. 👀
Another story about racism.
Another act of violence.
Another heartbreaking headline. 🥺
Then...
A personal problem.
Bills are overdue. 🤦🏾♀️
My phone keeps buzzing.
My mind starts racing.
"What is going on?"
"Why is everything happening at once?"
"My friend needs me."
"How am I going to pay this bill?"
"Is he still in love?"
Then...
PAUSE.
My higher self interrupted the chaos.
"Aisha...pause."
We all know what it feels like.
Some of us are living this story right now.
The headlines.
The responsibilities.
The family struggles.
The uncertainty.
The grief.
The stress.
So let me ask you...
How are you handling it?
Are you angry?
Hurt?
Confused?
Overwhelmed?
Completely exhausted?
I understand. 💚
But how we respond makes all the difference.
Not only for ourselves...
But for everyone around us.
As I sat with my emotions, I realized something.
I hurt for families experiencing unimaginable loss.
As a mother, those stories hit differently.
I also found myself thinking about my own life.
Two years ago, I lost my uncle.
The last conversation we had wasn't the one I wish we'd had.
I remember raising my voice because he was being stubborn.
Before he passed, I apologized.
But he never had the chance to answer.
For a long time, I carried guilt.
I just wanted to hear him say,
"It's okay, Isha."
There was a time when I would've handled these emotions differently.
I would've drowned them in alcohol.
Maybe cried.
Maybe argued.
Then, I spent the next day apologizing and trying not to get sick.
🤦🏾♀️
But today...
Things are different.
My higher self asked me a few simple questions.
Stress
"Can you fix what's stressing you right now?"
No.
"Then why continue feeding it?"
Anger
"Why are you really angry?"
Because I'm a mother of two sons, and stories like these remind me how fragile life can be.
Then another question came.
"Is this your burden to carry?"
No.
"Have compassion. Pray for the family. But don't allow someone else's tragedy to consume your peace."
Then came the bills.
"Bills will always exist."
"Prioritize what you can today."
Then my uncle.
"He heard your apology."
"It's time to let go of the guilt."
😌
I took a deep breath.
Life will always present challenges.
The world will always have difficult headlines.
There will always be something trying to pull us into fear, anger, anxiety, or despair.
The question isn't whether those moments will come.
The question is...
How will you respond?
As I write this, I can literally feel my energy changing.
My vibration is rising.
Not because my problems disappeared.
But because I'm doing something that brings me peace.
I'm writing.
I'm reflecting.
I'm sharing.
And if these words help just one person feel less alone...
Then my heart is full.
We're all walking this journey called life together.
Let's stop feeding toxic cycles that keep us stuck.
Let's stop giving every headline permission to steal our peace.
Before you crash out...
Pause.
Before you react...
Pause.
Before you respond...
Breathe.
Go for a walk.
Pray.
Meditate.
Journal.
Talk with someone you trust.
Do whatever helps you return to yourself.
Because the energy you carry doesn't stay with you.
It touches your family.
Your friends.
Your coworkers.
Your community.
And your own health.
The next time life feels overwhelming...
Pause.
Process.
Breathe.
Then move forward with intention.
Update: As I finish writing this...
My vibration is higher.
And it feels so much better. 😌🧘🏾♀️
If this message resonated with you, share it with someone you love and care about. You never know who may need permission to pause today.
Peace, Love & Light. 💚🧘🏾♀️
The First Hour and The Last Hour: How You Begin and End Your Day Matters
Godd3ss Aisha
True Story...
(Alarm playing Lizzy Jeff 🎶)
"Look me in my eyes when you speak to me, then I better feel your frequency."
My first thought?
"I'm not feeling this." 🙄
I grabbed my phone and headed to the bathroom.
There I sat, barely awake, already scrolling through Facebook.
One video.
One headline.
One comment section.
Then came the thoughts...
"I can't believe that happened."
"What is wrong with the world?!"
Of course, I had to tell my husband what I saw.
Then I got to work and told some coworkers.
Then came the conversations, debates, and discussions.
By the end of the day?
I was drained.
My energy was heavy.
I just wanted to go home.
About an hour before bed, I decided to check Facebook again.
And guess what?
More madness.
More opinions.
More chaos.
There I was talking back to videos, rolling my eyes, thinking...
"Couldn't be me." 😂
I put my phone down and tried to sleep.
Keyword...
Tried.
I tossed.
I turned.
And before I knew it...
🎶 "Look me in my eyes when you speak to me, then I better feel your frequency." 🎶
The alarm was going off again. 🤦🏾♀️
Then I came across a reel from a monk who said something that made me stop and think:
What you do with the first hour and the last hour of your day is important.
He suggested that when you wake up, don't immediately grab your phone.
Take a few minutes.
Give gratitude.
Take some deep breaths.
Be present.
Let your mind wake up before you invite the world in.
Then an hour before bed?
Put the phone down.
Charge it.
Disconnect from the noise.
🤔🤔🤔
So you already know...
I had to put it to the test.
The next morning, my alarm went off, and let me tell you...
The urge to grab my phone was CRAZY. 😂
But I said:
"Nope. Let's do this."
I closed my eyes.
I gave thanks for another day. 😌
I did some breath work.
I looked in the mirror and spoke positive affirmations over myself.
Then I showered and started my day.
The difference?
Amazing.
I felt like I was on a natural high.
I didn't even think about checking my phone until lunch.
By then, I had already accomplished more than expected, and most importantly...
I felt good.
Later that evening, I scrolled for a little while and continued with my night.
Then bedtime came.
That habit kicked in.
"Let me check this one post real quick..."
Then I stopped myself.
Nah.
I put the phone down.
I lay there.
Closed my eyes.
Gave thanks for another day.
Instead of filling my mind with stress, drama, and everyone else's problems, I started thinking about positive affirmations.
How could I grow?
How could I improve my skills?
How could I become a better version of myself?
And before I knew it...
😴😴😴
Peace.
I tried this for a week, and I was amazed at how much the beginning and ending of my day affected everything in between.
My mood.
My patience.
My focus.
My sleep.
My energy.
We often say social media is just entertainment...
But is it always?
Other people's problems.
Arguments.
Politics.
Celebrity drama.
Negativity.
Opinions.
We consume it and sometimes don't realize we're carrying it into our own lives.
Into our homes.
Into our relationships.
Into our minds.
Sometimes consciously.
Sometimes subconsciously.
So here's my challenge for you:
The 7-Day First Hour & Last Hour Challenge.
When you rise, leave the phone alone.
Your emails will still be there.
The notifications can wait.
The likes aren't going anywhere.
Instead:
💚 Give gratitude
💚 Take deep breaths
💚 Stretch your body
💚 Speak positivity over yourself
💚 Set your energy before the world tries to set it for you
Then do the same before bed.
Disconnect from the outside world.
Reconnect with yourself.
After seven days, check in.
Did you sleep better?
Were you less irritated?
Did you feel more focused?
Did your energy change?
Or did it make no difference?
I'd love to hear your experience.
Share your thoughts, and if this message connected with you, share it with someone you love and care about. Someone else may need the reminder to protect their peace, too.
Peace, Love & Light. 💚🧘🏾♀️
Letting Go: When To, How To, and Are You Ready?
Godd3ss Aisha
I was listening to “Healer” by Londrell when a line stopped me in my tracks:
“Don’t let your deceitful ego mislead you. The more you try to pour yourself into a broken vessel, it will overflow and leak through.”
🤔
Wow.
That one hit differently.
It made me think…
How many times in my life have I held on to jobs, friendships, situations, and relationships much longer than I should have?
Another message from Londrell stood out:
“You have to understand that people and times change. You can’t walk back into the same hurtful doors and not expect to find pain.”
That was the moment I started looking back—not with regret, but with understanding.
I thought about a job where I felt unseen.
I knew my value.
I knew what I contributed.
I knew how hard I worked.
But I stayed for years, feeling unhappy and frustrated, always one bad day away from quitting.
Looking back, I also saw how I handled that pain.
I would vent to family and friends.
I would have that one drink after work because it had been “one of those days.”
Then sometimes that one drink became two.
Or more.
I stayed up too late.
Stopped prioritizing myself.
Stopped caring about how I was showing up the next day.
And slowly…
A bad situation became an unhealthy routine.
I thought about leaving, but my pride—my ego—had something to say:
“Nope. We’ve been here too long. Put your big girl panties on and handle it.”
Besides, I had two kids.
Starting over didn’t feel like an option.
But what I didn’t realize was this:
By waiting for someone else to recognize my worth, I had forgotten to recognize it myself.
I was looking for validation from people who couldn’t see my value.
Because of pride, I allowed myself to be mistreated.
And even worse…
I started mistreating myself.
The same pattern showed up in my personal life.
I made excuses.
“The kids are just going through growing pains.”
“He just had a bad day.”
Excuse after excuse.
But the truth?
They saw what I couldn’t see.
I had lost my light.
I had poured so much into everyone and everything else that I had nothing left for myself.
I was just moving from one day into the next.
Then came the moment that changed everything…
The doctor’s appointment. 😳
It was time for my physical, and because of my age, they decided to do an EKG.
I watched the nurse print the results.
She looked at the paper.
Paused.
Printed another one.
Then said:
“I’m just going to run this again, okay?”
Ummm…
Now my heart was beating faster for a completely different reason. 😂
She repeated the process and said she wanted the doctor to review it.
So I waited.
And you know how your mind starts running when you’re waiting.
Finally, the doctor walked in and said:
“Ms. Brick, according to this, you’ve had a mild silent heart attack.”
👀👀👀
“What chu talkin’ bout Willis?!”
I told him, “I didn’t feel anything.”
He replied:
“You probably did…and ignored it.”
🤔
And the sad part?
I think he was right.
I had become so used to ignoring my body, my emotions, and my stress that even my own warning signs got pushed aside.
Then he asked:
“Have you been under stress lately?”
Yep.
And in that moment, I knew exactly what I needed to do.
No prescription required. 😉
I told myself:
It ends now.
If that job doesn’t recognize your worth?
Find another one.
Or continue down the same road and risk your health.
The relationship?
Time to let go.
The kids?
Oh, they were getting grounded, too. 😂
Once I put in my two weeks’ notice, something changed.
I found myself driving past the places I used to stop.
Sure, the snacks were good.
The drinks were cheap.
But nothing was worth sacrificing my peace, my health, or myself.
I learned how to jump off the hamster wheel we call “life”…
And actually start living.
I made a promise to myself:
I will not stay anywhere that requires me to lose myself in order to belong.
I’m not perfect.
But I am pure.
My intentions are pure.
My love is pure.
My heart is pure.
And if something requires me to constantly shrink, hurt, or abandon myself…
It’s time to let it go.
As Londrell says:
“Letting go is easy, but we make it challenging because we’re caught up in the memories and not focused on the reality.”
Read that again.
You already know what no longer serves you.
You know what makes your body tense.
You know what keeps your mind racing.
You know what steals your peace.
Whether it’s from your past or happening right now…
Maybe it’s time to release it.
The question is:
Are you ready to let go?
Or are you waiting for your own wake-up call?
Trust yourself.
Choose yourself.
There is nothing selfish about protecting your peace.
Continue loving others.
Continue showing up.
Continue working hard.
Continue caring.
But remember:
You cannot pour from an empty vessel.
If something is destroying your mental, emotional, or physical health…
Love yourself enough to let it go. 💚
If this message speaks to your heart, share it with someone you love and care about. Someone may need this reminder today.

Hello, Beautiful: A Few Kind Words Can Change Someone’s Day
Godd3ss Aisha
True story…
I was scrolling through Facebook when I came across a reel that instantly made me smile.
A beautiful woman saw another beautiful woman, stopped her, gave her a genuine compliment, and even spun her around in a joyful ballroom twirl. 🤗
The energy was contagious.
The message was powerful.
The smile on that woman’s face was absolutely priceless.
It got me thinking…
Let’s be honest.
Sometimes women can be each other’s biggest critics. Too often, compliments are replaced with comparison, competition, or quiet judgment. It doesn’t have to be that way.
So I decided to put it to the test.
A few days later, I was walking to the store when I made eye contact with a young woman.
She smiled and said, “Good morning.”
I smiled back and replied,
“Grand Rising, Beautiful.” 😁
The look she gave me…
You would’ve thought I had called her a shepherd for the devil! 😂🤷🏾♀️
She didn’t smile.
She looked uncomfortable.
I kept walking, wondering…
Did I offend her?
Does she not know she’s beautiful?
Has no one ever called her beautiful before?
The next time I saw her…
The same reaction.
At first, I was a little irritated because, honestly, who doesn’t enjoy receiving a sincere compliment?
Then I realized something important.
I don’t know her story.
I don’t know what she’s been through.
I don’t know what her self-esteem looks like.
Maybe no one had ever spoken those words to her.
Or maybe she’d heard so many negative ones that she no longer believed the positive.
That thought broke my heart.
It reminded me of something I shared in my “Trends” blog.
Many people don’t truly believe they’re attractive, worthy, or enough unless someone else validates them first.
Thankfully, not everyone struggles with this. Some people know exactly who they are and carry themselves with confidence.
But for those who don’t…
I’d like to offer a simple challenge.
For the next seven days, stand in front of the mirror every morning and say,
“I am beautiful.”
(And yes, gentlemen—you can absolutely be beautiful too.)
Then, during those same seven days, give one genuine compliment to another woman.
Not because you want something in return.
Not because you’re trying to impress anyone.
Simply because kindness is free.
You’ll be surprised how good it feels—not only for them, but for you as well.
Self-esteem plays a much bigger role in our health than many people realize.
When we don’t feel good about ourselves, it can affect our sleep, our eating habits, our relationships, and for some, even lead to unhealthy coping mechanisms like alcohol or drugs.
So ask yourself…
Who told you that you weren’t beautiful?
Society?
A relationship?
Family?
A stranger on the internet?
And an even better question…
Why did you choose to believe them?
Today, I invite you to replace those voices with your own.
When you wake up tomorrow, look in the mirror and simply say,
“Hello, Beautiful.”
You have scars?
You’re beautiful.
A few extra pounds?
You’re beautiful.
A missing tooth?
You’re beautiful.
Gray hair?
You’re beautiful.
Every chapter you’ve lived has helped shape the incredible person staring back at you.
I broke one of my teeth and eventually had it pulled.
Guess what?
I still smile as big and as brightly as ever. 💯
Because beauty has never been about perfection.
It’s about authenticity.
Be kind to yourself.
Be kind to others.
Your words may be exactly what someone needs to hear.
The next time you cross paths with another woman…
Smile.
Say hello.
Tell her she’s beautiful.
You never know how much those two simple words might change her day—or even her life.
And if this message touched your heart, please share it with someone you love and care about. A simple act of kindness has a way of creating ripples that travel farther than we’ll ever know.
Peace, Love & Light. 💚🧘🏾♀️
Be You: The Freedom of Letting Go of Other People's Opinions
Godd3ss Aisha
True story...
One morning I stood in front of my closet thinking, "What should I wear?" 🤔
It was a little chilly outside, so I grabbed a pair of jeans, a cute sweatshirt, and my leg warmers.
"Hey...cute and comfy!" 😊
I got to work.
A coworker looked at me and laughed.
"Good morning, Aisha! Girl...are you trying to bring leg warmers back?!" 😂😂😂
"I haven't seen those since the '80s!"
We both laughed, but later I caught myself thinking...
"Am I old school?"
"Am I out of style?"
"Am I not keeping up with the times?"
Later that day, I asked my boyfriend at the time,
"How do I look?"
He smiled and said,
"You look good...but you should tighten up that tummy. Get that 'snatched' look like Cardi B or Megan Thee Stallion."
I paused.
I had already been thinking about getting my stomach flatter, so hearing that made me think,
"Maybe I really do need to start working out."
Looking back, I realized something.
Even as adults, we're still playing many of the same games we played in school.
Back then, it was all about who had the latest shoes, the newest hairstyle, the coolest clothes. If you didn't keep up, someone made sure you knew it.
Has much really changed?
Today I see women—and men—working extra shifts, taking out loans, and spending thousands on cosmetic procedures just to achieve the latest beauty trend.
If you're curvy, you're told to lose weight.
If you're thin, you're told to eat more.
If your hair is natural, someone has an opinion about it.
If you color it, someone has an opinion.
So...
When does it stop?
Let's be honest.
Some people will say, "I did it for me."
And for some, that's absolutely true.
But for many of us, if we're willing to be completely honest with ourselves, at least part of that decision is driven by a desire to be accepted, validated, or approved by society.
Constantly chasing someone else's version of beauty can slowly chip away at your self-esteem.
Your subconscious is always listening.
When you repeatedly tell yourself you're not enough, eventually your mind begins to believe it—and your body often follows.
What if one day you decided...
"I'm going to dye my hair purple."
"I'm going to stop shaving."
"I'm going to wear leg warmers because I like them."
Immediately the questions start.
"What will people think?"
"What will they say?"
Then I asked myself something even more important.
Why do I care?
My answer surprised me.
I didn't want people to think I wasn't current.
I didn't want to seem outdated.
Then another question came.
"If you're constantly changing to fit everyone else's expectations...who are you?"
That question changed everything.
I realized I had been allowing social media, family, friends, trends, and complete strangers to influence how I saw myself.
Little by little, I was losing my identity.
Once I made the decision to simply be myself—and stop worrying about everyone else's opinion—it felt incredibly freeing.
I stood taller.
I walked differently.
I spoke with more confidence.
Not because I had changed my appearance...
But because I had finally become comfortable in my own skin.
Now, if your doctor recommends losing or gaining weight for your health, that's a different conversation. Taking care of your body is an act of self-love.
But if your decision is purely cosmetic, take a moment before making it.
Sit quietly with yourself.
Remove the voices of social media.
Silence the opinions of family and friends.
Forget about trends for just a little while.
Then ask yourself:
"Is this truly what I want...or am I trying to become someone else's definition of beautiful?"
You may discover that you already love the body you're in.
Whether you're curvy, slim, athletic, or somewhere in between...
Whether you wear leg warmers or designer heels...
Whether your hair is natural, colorful, long, or short...
You are worthy.
You are enough.
And that, my beautiful soul, is more than enough. 💚
If this message resonated with you, please share it with someone you love and care about. You never know who may need the reminder that they are already enough, just as they are.
Peace, Love & Light. 💚🧘🏾♀️
Take a Walk: Your Mind, Body, and Soul Will Thank You
Godd3ss Aisha
Have you ever watched a sitcom where the dad tells his angry son, “Go take a walk!” 😂
As funny as it sounds, it’s actually some pretty solid advice.
Whether it’s a slow stroll around the neighborhood or a brisk walk to get your cardio in, moving your body is one of the simplest gifts you can give yourself.
I try to make it a habit to go for a walk at least once or twice a week. Come to think of it…there are times when I walk simply because I need to.
But here’s the question…
When was the last time you took a walk and truly listened?
Not with earbuds blasting music or your eyes glued to your phone.
I mean, really listened.
Listen to yourself.
Listen to Mother Nature.
Listen to the wind dancing through the trees.
Listen to the birds singing to one another as they fly from branch to branch.
There’s something incredibly peaceful about it.
Walking has become a form of meditation for me. It’s a time to put life into perspective and check in with myself.
I often ask a simple question:
“How are you…really?”
With family, friends, work, social media, and the world constantly demanding our attention, we spend so much time taking care of everyone else that we forget to check on the one person who needs us the most—ourselves.
Walking benefits the body, too.
It strengthens my legs, glutes, and core. It gets my heart pumping and my blood flowing. Every step is an investment in my physical health.
But the greatest benefit isn’t physical.
It’s the opportunity to slow down long enough to appreciate the little things.
A hummingbird searching for nectar.
The fragrance of blooming flowers.
The rhythm of the breeze.
(Yes…I’m having a full Pocahontas moment over here. 😂😂😂)
Life can be loud.
Kids need you.
Cars are rushing by.
Work emails keep coming.
Maybe your spouse is fussing.
Maybe your boss is testing every ounce of your patience.
If you’ve learned to tune out the noise around you, why not tune into something that gives back?
Tune into yourself.
Tune into nature.
You may be surprised by what you discover.
You might find the courage to make a difficult decision.
You may find clarity where there was confusion.
You may finally release something that’s been weighing heavily on your heart.
And yes…you’ll burn a few calories while you’re at it. 😂
I’m not saying a walk will solve every problem in your life.
But before you vent to the wrong person…
Before you fire off that emotional text…
Before you make that Facebook post you might regret…
Take a walk.
Give yourself 30 to 45 minutes.
Step away from the noise.
Clear your mind.
Disconnect from the world.
Reconnect with yourself.
Reconnect with Mother Nature.
You may come back with exactly what you needed.
If this message spoke to you, share it with someone you love and care about. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give another person isn’t advice—it’s a gentle reminder to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with themselves. You never know who might need to hear these words today.
Peace, Love & Light. 💚🧘🏾♀️
Understanding Healing Is Also About How You Think
Godd3ss Aisha
I’ve learned that healing isn’t just about eating healthy, exercising, or getting enough sleep. Those things are incredibly important, but I’ve discovered there’s another powerful piece of the puzzle—our thoughts.
After reading The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Dr. Joseph Murphy, I began looking at healing in a completely different way. One lesson that stayed with me is that our subconscious is always listening. The words we speak to ourselves matter.
When we constantly say, “I’m sick,” “I’m tired,” “I’m broken,” or repeat negative thoughts, our minds begin to accept those statements as truth. I like to imagine that I’m the captain of my ship, and my subconscious is below deck. It can’t see what’s happening outside—it only follows the directions I give it.
So I started changing my language.
Instead of saying, “I’m sick,” I say, “My body is healing.” Instead of focusing on what’s wrong, I focus on what’s getting better. Those small changes have helped me shift my mindset, reduce stress, and approach each day with hope instead of fear.
Positive self-talk may seem simple, but it can have a profound effect on our emotional well-being. When we reduce stress and negativity, we create space for peace, confidence, and healthier habits to grow. For many women especially, chronic stress can take a toll on the body, and learning to slow down and speak kindly to ourselves can be a beautiful act of self-care.
So I ask you this: What harm could it do to stand in front of the mirror each morning and say:
I am healthy. I am strong. I am worthy. I am beautiful.
It’s time to stop letting the opinions of others define who we are. It’s time to reclaim our bodies, our minds, and our energy. Step into your power, embrace your divine purpose, and become the Godd3ss you were always meant to be.
Namaste. 🧘🏾♀️✨
